Bring Nature’s colours into the kitchen with Custom Fronts

After decades in the doldrums colour has made a welcome return to the kitchen.  Yet no one wants their new kitchen to date as fast as last year’s catwalk collections. One way to ensure style longevity is with Custom Fronts linoleum cabinetry fronts, doors and drawers in its enduring palette of natural muted tones.

Made in Custom Fronts Sussex workshop on the banks of the River Ouse, the soothing shades of the linoleum and plywood fronts are inspired by the beautiful, local landscape.

Warm to touch, with a matt finish and a subtle leathery texture, the linoleum fronts are available in four muted colourways: olive, pebble, powder pink and smokey blue. These beautiful natural tones are an ideal choice for those embracing biophilic design, as well as anyone who wanting to introduce calming and long-lasting colours to the kitchen.

Linoleum has a natural composition and is naturally anti-static, so it remains hygienic and clean – important in the kitchen. Not only that, the high quality brand of linoleum that Custom Fronts uses is unique in its make up; 97% of it is made with natural raw renewable materials, which includes jute (a vegetable fibre), linseed oil (from the flax plant) and wood flour (from off-cuts). Within this a large proportion of the materials (44%) are recycled and reused from the brand’s own factory, reducing waste, supporting the circular economy and making the linoleum CO2 neutral.

These colour fronts - as well as those in other materials and a wider palette of natural shades - are available in a selection of styles with a choice of hand-routed handles, and wooden or painted plinths.

Custom Fronts cabinetry is designed to fit IKEA Metod carcasses so can be easily retrofitted to reinvigorate a tired kitchen or installed with a new one to create a high-end finish.
