Design Nation + London Craft Week
We are very excited to be working with Design-Nation on their upcoming showcase at London Craft Week. Design-Nation is a Great British portfolio for craft and design, and it's members span the diverse mediums of ceramics; furniture; jewellery; metalwork; textiles and visual art. Design-Nation champions British design, and along with it's partners, seeks to actively grow the UK's creative community.
As part of London Craft Week, Design-Nation will be presenting a major showcase of works at the OXO Tower Gallery from 4th - 7th of May 2017.
The Exhibition is themed around the marks and tools of the maker and how these translate into different disciplines. Design-Nation’s makers produce a wide range of distinctive high quality contemporary objects, both useful and decorative, large and small, simple and ornate; all are distinguished by commitment to craft and deep understanding of excellent design.

Design-Nations membership is carefully selected by a panel of industry experts and peers, who seek evidence of entrepreneurial and collaborative approaches, with an emphasis on innovation in contemporary craft and design.
Highlights of the showcase include Hannah Tounsend’s distinctive handbuilt ceramic vessels and monoprints, which won her the New Designers 2016 One Year On award and are evocative of seaside landforms; established textile designer Margo Selby’s return to handwoven artworks, one-off pieces which evoke Bauhaus forms and demonstrate her characteristic colour combinations; and Michael Ruh’s hand-blown glass tableware and lighting in a range of subtle and bright colours, the gentle forms infused with delicate lines.
