Stylish and Sustainable: Introducing Custom Fronts

Based in the Sussex village of Barcombe Mills on the River Ouse, near Lewes East Sussex, Custom Fronts is an independent company that specialise in handcrafting high-quality, design-led cabinet doors, drawers, panels, plinths and worktops to fit IKEA kitchen frames.

The latest in the series of fronts is crafted from bamboo, a sustainable and stylish alternative to wood. In addition to its rich textured surface, bamboo is an incredibly hard-wearing, durable and solid material that is CO2 negative over its lifecycle.

Designed and made in Custom Fronts’ Sussex workshop from FSC timber, paper-based laminate, linoleum – and now eco-friendly bamboo, the stylish fronts offer the look and feel of a beautifully handcrafted kitchen without the high price tag – either economically or environmentally.

Inspired by the simplicity of Japanese and Scandinavian design, the new bamboo custom fronts have a modern, linear aesthetic with timeless, enduring appeal. Available with four different routed handle options and in three finishes: white, warm or dark, the bamboo fronts can be teamed with bamboo worktops in 19mm or 30mm for a seamless effect or other materials.

Whether designing a new kitchen from scratch or renovating existing Ikea carcasses, Custom Fronts offers a stylish, sustainable – and more affordable way to create your dream kitchen.

Prices from £1,626 for a small kitchen.
