Balcony by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Introducing Balcony by French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Danish design brand Hay. An elegant new collection of outdoor furniture comprising chairs, tables, and benches.
The distinct symmetric circles featured in this design, characterise the collection and soften its appearance. The laser-welded holes also strengthen the structure and offer stability and comfort. It is made in powder-coated steel with a weather-proof coating, and is suitable for all kinds of outdoor spaces, from home gardens to restaurant terraces, and indeed balconies.
Available in a complimentary colour palette of anthracite, chalk beige, dark forest, desert green, and iron red. The blend of hues means the Balcony collection is suited to a variety of styles.
Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are two French brothers and designers, born in 1971 and 1976 respectively. Based in Paris, they have been working as a team in their own design studio since 1998. Ronan is a graduate of the École supérieure des Arts décoratifs in Paris and Erwan attended the École nationale supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting their own studio.
Their work is the result of distinct personalities, but also a shared intention to reach more balance and fineness through a strong notion of diligence. Covering many fields, from architecture, to jewellery, industrial design, and drawings, they have worked with many international manufacturers such as Hay, Artek, Cappellini, Established & Sons, Flos, and Vitra.
